Description

The Moon letterpress poster by Beautiful Angle was designed, typeset, written and printed in June of 2014. This poster was printed on-site at Tacoma Wayzgoose at Kings Books.

The primary image was created using vintage lead ornaments, logos, and letters.

The text reads:

Look to the sky tonight.
You’ll see a satellite
so well-crafted that it draws
the tides of Commencement
Bay. Tonight, its gravity
pulls on the eyes of lovers
and the lenses of National
Geographic photojournalists.
Tonight, gulch coyotes yowl
under its sway. Tonight, the
moon reflects from the rusty
helmets of melancholy astronauts,
recalling their long ago
steps among its dust.
