Description
The Year of the Horse letterpress poster by Beautiful Angle was designed, written and printed in March of 2014. The images of the horse were laser cut from wood and are reminiscent of The Horse in Motion by Eadweard Muybridge.
The poster was created in support of Tacoma’s Monkeyshines project, in honor of Chinese New Year.
The words read as follows:
I wish I had a pony know as both the best and fastest.
I don’t and don’t expect to get one anything like soon.
Sashay away with me and dream of twenty dollars.
I’ve got those Robert Johnsons and another debt is due.
Or something like that. Should probably check to make sure. Maybe later.
